Overview

The Test Engineer will lead manufacturing test development efforts and provide technical support within the Operations department.

 

Cradlepoint is seeking an energetic, highly motivated, and experienced individual to join us as a Test Engineer. A strong electrical engineering background with scripting and manufacturing test development experience is key to being successful in this position. The Test Engineer will be responsible for developing manufacturing test systems and processes for routers, modems, and electronic accessories in our Operations department. This position will liaise with R&D Engineering teams during test development, to provide an efficient and effective test system solution. In addition, the Test Engineer will work collaboratively within Operations to provide test and troubleshooting support to the manufacturing and RMA teams. Responsibilities

  • Lead manufacturing test system development for the Operations department to ensure as complete test coverage as possible
  • Interface with R&D engineering team to coordinate manufacturing test system development for new products
  • Provide direct support for resolution of test and technical issues in manufacturing
  • Provide support for troubleshooting failing product from manufacturing and RMA teams
  • Provide direct and indirect support for resolution of customer and internal issues
  • Support manufacturing test yield improvement processes
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by creating and maintaining scripts to automate repetitive tasks

Education & Experience: 

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience of 5 years is preferred for this position, assuming education requirements are met. Industry experience in manufacturing test development is highly desirable
  • Digital electronics testing and troubleshooting experience is required
  • Experience with RF technology is a plus
  • Experience with programming user interfaces is preferred
  • Experience with setting up and configuring computer networks and wireless access points is highly desired
  • Circuit analysis/debugging experience is a plus
  • Experience working with continuous improvement and problem solving methodologies is a plus
