Responsible for contributing to sales growth of public sector business throughout the region through new customer acquisition, customer retention and growth opportunities with current customer base.  The region is defined as North Central. The regional account manager will be in contact daily with current and prospective customers, creating, identifying, and managing opportunities and up-selling current accounts. This position will solicit new business opportunities in the market by direct outbound efforts and leveraging and supporting regional channel partner activities. The RAM will support all regional sales needs as outlined by the regional Vice President of Sales and will work closely with the entire organization and channel partner ecosystem to drive growth in the market. This role will have 30 target accounts.


  • Identify and prospect strategic targets within the North Central public sector market, including: state government, city/county government, and education
  • Maintain a high level of activity conducive to aggressively building market share and exceeding sales quotas
  • Approach the position with an entrepreneurial mindset, generating and accelerating momentum for Cradlepoint in the N. Central market
  • Maintain a clean and accurate forecast both near and long-term
  • Ability to work cross-functionally across the organization
  • Must have strong presentation and communication skills
  • Must be able to travel and schedule overnight stays


  • Minimum of 5 years selling into the public sector market
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the networking Industry
  • Cloud and/or SDN fluency is a plus
  • College degree required

Compensation:  Base + variable
