Overview

The CradlePoint R&D team has an immediate need for a SaaS Engineering Manager in Boise, Idaho. The successful candidate will possess SaaS experience, strong communication and collaboration skills, five years of experience leading R&D teams and programs, experience with Agile development lifecycles, passion to define and drive a  technology roadmap, understanding of SaaS technologies and challenges, demonstrated ability to manage a high-performing technology team and experiencing driving complex solution delivery from inception to completion.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of high-performing engineers to deliver customer-impacting features and solutions
  • Influence, motivate and coach the team to perform at their greatest potential
  • Grow the team and participate in Hiring/Recruitment process 
  • Facilitate agile development within the greater R&D organization
  • Facilitate communication between the SaaS Platform teams, Firmware teams, Product Management and other R&D teams
  • Collaboration with product management to understand proposed features, applications and roadmap items and then break them down into pieces that can be scoped and delivered by the delivery squads
  • Serve as SaaS player/coach and work with the engineers to develop a roadmap and architecture cohesive with the business and R&D strategy

Qualifications

  • Technical degree in Computer Science or equivalent 
  • Masters of Business Administration (preferred)
  • 5 years of Software Development experience
  • Experience defining and delivering on a technology and product roadmap
  • 5 years of Technical Project and/or Program Management
  • SaaS Development experience (preferred)
  • Experience with SaaS business models and billing (preferred)
  • Experience with Python/Django, Javascript, Docker (preferred)
  • Proven exceptional ability to effectively motivate and manage a team
