Overview

The Director of Inside Sales is responsible for leading the Inside Sales Organization and ensuring that the sales managers/representatives meet or exceed sales quotas. The Director Inside Sales also provides input on overall sales strategy and tactics.

Responsibilities

  • Devise and deploy sales objectives and goals for Inside Sales teams, including sales targets, quotas and budgets.
  • Develop and implement monthly, quarterly and annual sales programs, plans, and policies for Insides Sales Managers.
  • Integrate and align sales plans with available processes, IT systems, talent and other areas in order to increase the capability and success of Insides Sales force.
  • Manage the performance and activities of the Insides Sales teams.
  • Conduct analysis in order to manage performance levels of sales against market developments and corporate objectives.
  • Maximize work relationships with key partners and carriers.
  • Communicate brand identity internally to pertinent key business collaborators, business units, and the customer support.
  • Explore and grow the client account list through strategic outbound calling efforts.
  • Seek out and direct new customers and sales opportunities, initiating action plan to advance and procure new business for the company.
  • Ensure we are making sound hiring decisions.

Qualifications

  • Leadership ability, entrepreneurial attitude and solid team player.
  • Ability to identify necessary skills for subordinates and to coach and train subordinates to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Ability to develop sales strategies, tactics and techniques based on the feedback of the customer and market environment.
  • Ability to focus selling message on the needs of the customer.
  • High quality written and verbal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage complex processes and drive continuous process improvement.
  • Excellent project management skills, including demonstrated ability to manage projects across teams where influencing skills are required.
  • Experience developing and maintaining productive relationships across organizations to ensure that business initiatives are completed and business objectives are achieved.
  • Highly motivated, with a strong sense of achievement and the willingness to both lead and contribute supportively to a dynamic team environment.
  • At least 10 years of experience in Sales with the last 3 years in a management position.
  • Four year college degree from an accredited institution.
