Overview

Cradlepoint’s Payroll Accountant is responsible for making sure that employees are paid correctly and on time. Performs all activities necessary to process payroll, including maintaining related records, filing tax reports, preparing accounting transactions and documents, and preparing special reports for management.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the preparation and processing of monthly and semi-monthly payroll for over 500 global employees; review and ensure accuracy of approved timesheets; track and deduct all payroll deductions
  • Responsible for the coordination efforts between payroll, accounting, human resources, and other departments to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data (including preparation/distribution of detailed reports, e.g., overtime, head count, and retirement contribution reports)
  • Responsible for balancing, recording, and reconciling payroll journal entries into the general ledger system
  • Properly maintain payroll and compensation related balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Reconcile invoices/billings with benefit carriers and address any issues that may arise to ensure proper accounting and payment of all benefit related financial obligations
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Finance required, Accounting Degree preferred
  • ADP experience, preferred
  • GL & Accounting experience, preferred
  • Foreign Payroll experience a plus
  • Advanced attention to detail
  • Excellent skills using Microsoft Excel
  • Strong skills using and understanding the flow of transactions in an integrated and automated payroll accounting system
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
  • Excellent problem solving/judgment skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines
