Product Manager Position Summary:

Cradlepoint is actively seeking a qualified individual to join the product management in support for our Branch Routing Solutions. This role will be instrumental in defining and driving the strategy for Enterprise Branch office solutions that include primary routing, SDWAN, WAN security, WLAN and LAN Switching. The candidate will operate within a cross-functional team environment that includes R&D, product marketing, operations, program management, finance and executives, as well as customers and channel partners. This position will be located at our headquarters in Boise, Idaho or Cradlepoint’s Silicon Valley office.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary product and business representative as a team member of high-performing development teams
  • Develop the product vision, strategy and execution plan for Cradepoint’s Branch Office solutions
  • Deliver Branch Office solutions in an As-a-Service model focused on differentiating Cradlepoint’s solutions through Cloud based management and ease of use
  • Help customers drive adoption of the Wireless WAN including 4G LTE technology and an evolution to 5G Wireless Technologies
  • Develop a Cradlepoint IoT solution practice with MSPs that drives loyalty and increases sales for new opportunities and renewals
  • Evangelize Cradlepoint’s role as a thought leader in the Wireless WAN for the Enterprise Branch with customers, partners, industry publications and market analysts
  • Be responsible for the full customer experience with ease of use and value confirmation in mind
  • Embrace a solution-driven approach to ensure we deliver whole-products to the market that completely and effectively solve customer problems and intended use cases
  • Manage and prioritize the backlog of features with a Cloud/SaaS focus for development based on the strategic product roadmap and product strategy
  • Author user stories for the development team based on product features and enhancements
  • Review and approve deliverables prepared by the development team
  • Schedule and lead cross-functional team meetings to surface issues and work through solution design as needed
  • Maintain comprehensive understanding of internal systems, systems architecture, and customer requirements
  • Analyze data from a variety of sources to answer product or operational related questions and incorporate the analysis into decision making processes
  • Work closely with Product Marketing to translate technical aspects in order to support go-to-market strategy and deliverables
  • Understand the business value behind product decisions and advocate for solutions that bring both user and business value
  • Partner with UX and research teams to coordinate user research and optimize the user experience
  • Work closely with customer experience, sales and marketing partners in defining solution direction and optimizing existing functionality

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of relevant product experience with Networking including Enterprise WAN architectures, SDWAN functionality, Wireless LAN, LAN Switching, and network management including application DPI, and experience managing both dedicated hardware and virtualized platforms
  • Knowledge of wireless WAN technologies including 4G LTE, 5G and WIFI as WAN
  • WAN Security experience including VPNs, Next Generation FWs, and WebFiltering
  • Experience in supporting Enterprise grade WAN architectures
  • Strong ability to understand both technical details and practical business application of how enterprises want to use different networking and connectivity technologies in order to align product vision and roadmap
  • Must demonstrate strategic thinking and thought leadership, as well as ability to lead initiatives through implementation
  • Exceptional analytical reasoning skills
  • Critical thinking skills to make intelligent and defendable decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills including ability to persuasively deliver presentations to senior executives, partners and customers and at industry events
  • Fast executor, self-starter
  • Travel: Typically about 30% depending on location in Boise vs. Silicon Valley
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
