The R&D Customer Solutions team is responsible for building, monitoring, testing and reporting on real-world customer solutions for networking equipment and managed network solutions. An Engineer on this team is responsible for building network topologies, configuring network equipment, remote management of networking devices, configuring connected clients and software services, as well as maintaining monitoring systems and owning behavior/performance reporting. This is considered a hybrid Quality Assurance/Customer Support discipline, so a strong background in at least one, if not both will be desirable. A fundamental understanding of networking equipment (especially Cisco or Juniper), routing features (such as SDWAN, DMVPN) and SaaS managed technologies will be required.


  • Work closely with Sales Engineers and Product Managers to understand and build real-world customer solutions;
  • Work closely with other Engineers to ensure proper solution design and coverage;
  • Work with competitive networking products for compatibility and analysis testing;
  • Author technical documentation pertaining to the networking solutions;
  • Perform troubleshooting and research into failures;
  • May be involved in some scripting languages for configuration and automation


  • Minimum four-years of experience in Quality Assurance OR Customer Support;
  • Experience authoring technical documentation and test cases/plans;
  • Experience testing or supporting networking solutions;
  • Advanced computer, router and networking knowledge;
  • Familiarity with commercial routers/firewalls/appliances;
  • Experience with web-based applications preferred;
  • Familiarity with cellular modems/networks desirable
