Overview

Cradlepoint is seeking a smart and energetic Shipping/Receiving Coordinator to work in our growing operations department at our 5 mile location. The ideal candidate should have domestic and International shipping knowledge, packing boxes, material handling, and a strong computer background. Excel and Logistics experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment: Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records
  • Determines method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates
  • Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or writes identifying shipping information on cartons, as needed
  • Assembles wooden or cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers
  • Inserts items into containers, using spacers, fillers, and protective padding
  • Posts weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage
  • Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications
  • Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies
  • May operate tier-lift truck or use hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping-and-receiving platform to storage or work area
  • Handles all customs issues and Freight exceptions as needed
  • Performs Daily Inventory count to assure inventory accuracy and trouble shots any discrepancies and determines best course to correct issues
  • Assists in achieving the goals of the department and the business by performing other duties as assigned

  • Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork
  • Ability to read, sort, check, count, and verify numbers

  • Ability to perform simple arithmetic
  • Ability to detect problems and report information to appropriate personnel
  • Ability to receive, stock, and/or deliver goods
  • Knowledge FedEX/USP, and LTL shipping methods and procedures including International shipping
  •  Minimum education -HS Diploma
