    Cradlepoint is looking for an Interaction Designer to join our User Experience (UX) team. The UX team works across many departments to provide standards, guidance and detailed design specifications on a wide range of web and mobile software interfaces. The ideal candidate will have solid experience with enterprise grade UI design strategies, puts high importance on consistency, is meticulous/detail oriented, exhibits great interpersonal skills, finds high value in collaboration, takes constructive criticism in stride and is excited to change the world one pixel at a time.

    Responsibilities

    • Work with various groups within the organization to provide UX direction for an upcoming project
    • Understand complex problems while quickly and visually explaining potential solutions
    • Convert sometimes undetailed specifications and requirements into an interface that upholds user and business needs
    • Communicate with necessary stakeholders to understand the new product and/or features
    • Create wireframes, workflows, schematics, and prototypes to test usability and functional goals
    • Present prototypes to groups of engineers, product managers, QA and program managers
    • Take and discuss feedback with the intent of delivering improved designs for final build-out
    • Help define and document company standards where UX is involved
    • Learn and understand the Cradlepoint ecosystem of customer-facing products and portals
    • Always be an advocate for great design company-wide
    • Occasionally work with partners and end customers to gather feedback
    • Be flexible, be responsive to deadlines, be willing to learn while leveraging your unique skills

    Qualifications

    Must Know:

    • Minimum two years of UX/interaction design experience creating interfaces for enterprise-grade web applications
    • Understanding of style guides, CSS and application building principles
    • Strong design esthetic where typography, color usage, iconology and general layout are involved
    • Experience with prototyping tools such as JustInMind, Sketch and Balsamiq
    • Experience with common office technology like MS Word and PowerPoint
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Experience with graphics design tools like Adobe Illustrator
    • Experience in designing icons and application graphics

    Nice to know:

    • Experience in networking, routers and router firmware
    • Experience with the concepts involved in delivering SaaS software services
    • Experience in creating prototypes for mobile applications
    • Analytics and user tour building tools like Pendo and FullStory
