    Cradlepoint is hiring an experienced electrical engineer to be responsible for the electrical design of new HW platforms. The ideal candidate will have experience with embedded and mixed-signal systems, high-speed digital design, and the full R&D life cycle from concept to prototype to shipment to post-sales escalations. Responsibilities include authoring specifications, electrical design, design review, prototype evaluation/characterization/validation, debug, collaboration with firmware and QA teams and working with overseas OEM/ODM partners.


    • Minimum 5 years in hardware design
    • Strong skills in:
      • Designing robust embedded systems for business environment
      • Designing for signal integrity in high-speed systems
      • DDR3/4, USB, PCIe, Ethernet, PoE, SFP/SFP+
      • Creating power budgets, power management, switching regulator design
      • Debug and hardware evaluation skills
      • Mixed signal, especially RF (cellular and Wi-Fi)
      • EMC troubleshooting and knowledge of regulatory processes
      • Thermal management and heatsinking
    • BSEE or MSEE
    • Highly motivated and thrive on challenge
    • Excellent communication, well organized and ability to multi-task efficiently
    • Outstanding teamwork skills including mentoring
    • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
    • Some international travel is required
