    We are looking to fill an exciting new and unique role at Cradlepoint, a Business Initiator.  The ideal candidate for the Business Initiator role, will possess a combination of Product Manager, Business Analyst and Program Manager; and have proven results with introducing a product or business models into new markets.  A Business Initiator must demonstrate the ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the skill-set to dive deep and tactically to drive business development programs.  This role will work directly with Product Management, Finance, Engineering, Marketing, Sales and other teams to develop and deliver the next generation of business models.

    Responsibilities

    • Cross-Functional Initiative Management
    • Facilitate Conversation: Create opportunities for cross functional collaboration in developing business models, organizational design and cross-functional initiatives to drive long term business sustainability
    • Initiative Management: Identify and implement new cross-functional initiatives with key stakeholders to develop, champion, and launch new initiatives.  Manage the initiative from cradle to grave: business case, scope, cost, schedule, action cycles, risks, issues, decisions, interdependencies and milestones
    • Business Process Efficiency
    • Business Process Improvement: Manage a central repository of processes and improve processes to minimize complexities and optimize to promote effective operations
    • Operational Efficiency:  Find and pursue cost reduction opportunities to improve EbITDA
    • Business Rhythm: Establish an operating rhythm of the business to ensure the organization is running effectively and efficiently to meet goals and objectives
    • New Business Growth Opportunities: Explore new markets and business models through industry trends, historical trends, forward looking forecasts, competitive assessment, etc. and build/evaluate recommendations for strategic growth and monetization

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of relevant product experience in software and/or hardware technology
    • Experience delivering products in an Agile development environment in areas that is oriented to platform or SaaS delivery of features/functions
    • Ability to write product requirements in the form of user stories
    • Strong ability to understand both technical details and practical business use of applications
    • Must demonstrate strategic thinking and thought leadership, as well as ability to lead initiatives through implementation
    • Exceptional analytical reasoning skills
    • Critical thinking skills to make intelligent and defendable decisions in a fast-paced environment
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Fast executor, self-starter
    • Bachelor’s Degree required
