The Director of Partner Marketing is the primary marketing liaison between Cradlepoint and our partner channel, which includes distribution, authorized resellers, alliance partners, carriers, and MSPs. The role includes developing the vision, strategy, execution, and metrics that will guide a team and their activities in partner enablement, communications, and marketing.

The Director of Partner Marketing is responsible for delivering successful partner enablement, communications, and marketing programs for the purpose of continuously improving indirect channel and alliance partner productivity. While primarily North American focused, the role includes collaborating with international field marketing teams on the development and implementation of territory partner marketing plans and programs.


  • Develop partner marketing strategies, goals, objectives, and KPIs that align with and enable the company’s annual sales plans
  • Plan and oversee the execution of partner co-marketing and demand generation plans targeting key use segments, verticles, and use cases
  • Develop and implement world-class partner enablement programs to ensure partner sellers are trained, equipped, and motivated to sell Cradlepoint solutions
  • Define and implement a partner marketing technology stack to included CRM, PRM, streamlined communications, lead registration/sharing/tracking, and joint marketing
  • Assist the partner sales organization with identifying, recruiting and onboarding new partners that are focused on Cradlepoint growth market segments
  • Collaborate with the demand marketing organization to adapt customer-oriented marketing programs for co-marketing activities with alliance and channel partners
  • Collaborate with our carrier development team and carrier product and marketing teams to help launch, enable, grow, and evolve our catalog and co-sell offerings
  • Evolve partner communications to drive an “unfair” mind share with partner sales teams


  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field, MBA is desirable
  • Relevant industry domain experience marketing IT solutions to SMB or enterprise customers, preferably networking or security
  • At least 10 years prior sales and marketing experience with at least 5 years of experience in partner and channel marketing roles with at least 2 of them leading a channel marketing team with responsibility for achieving revenue-relevant KPIs
  • Strong knowledge of marketing principles and techniques including revenue marketing, account-based marketing, demand generation campaigns, events, communications, and social/online marketing
  • Demonstrated ability to hire and develop strong and effective teams (hiring, on-boarding, career pathing, and continual enablement)
  • Experienced developing business strategies and managing processes, procedures, and operations to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the department and team
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written along with the ability and willingness to communicate at all levels
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain strong, positive relationships with all company stakeholders and executive management
