The primary focus of this role is the management and development of a team of Sales Engineers, including contributing to resource and business planning, helping to ensure quick & effective resolution of customer escalations and maintaining relationships with key customers and partners as well as gathering and directing market intelligence and customer feedback.


  • Manage & Develop a Team of Sales Engineers
  • Develop a Pipeline of Potential Sales Engineer hires for future Team Expansion
  • Conduct Regular One on One Coaching and Development Sessions with their Team
  • Manage Pre-Sales and Post-Sales Internal and External Technical Escalations
  • Coordinate Technical Strategy as needed for Important Projects & Sales Opportunities
  • Provide Guidance and Coordination between Product Line Management & Sales Account Teams
  • Coordinate and Manage Technical Metric Gathering & Reporting for their Assigned Area
  • Assist Account Teams with Technical & Business Closing Activities with a focus on the Proof-of-Concept Process


  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) supported by 10+ years of demonstrated solution sales experience
  • 2+ Years, 1st Level Management or Team Lead Experience
  • Experience in a complex sales environment
  • Deep level knowledge of Cradlepoint’s products and solutions
  • Knowledge of approaches, tools and techniques for justifying a project, equipment or staffing expenditures by identifying cost, benefits, opportunities and threats
  • Knowledge of and ability to utilize customer profile and information
  • Ability to coordinate inputs from customers, developers, market and competitive information and translate to product & solution requirements
  • Knowledge of the technology industry and its trends, directions, technologies, services and providers
  • Knowledge of the Proof-of-Concept Process and supporting Strategies for Success
  • Ability to forge strong, long-lasting relationships with senior executives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent presentation and creativity skills
  • Ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts in an easy to understand manner
  • Decisive problem-solving ability and capability to assess people and situations with accuracy
  • Ability to deliver a clear and compelling value proposition to customers/partners
