Cradlepoint is seeking an energetic, highly motivated, and experienced individual to join us as an Operations Quality Engineering Manager. This person will lead regional quality control and quality assurance efforts for Cradlepoint Operations to ensure process and product quality. They will be familiar with quality testing, vendor and material audits, reporting, and production quality processes. They will work closely with other Operations teams and tangentially with departments such as R&D and Support to identify issues and drive product and process improvements.   • Manage our team of Quality Auditors as direct reports
  • Create, review, update, and improve process documentation and assist in development of ABI’s/SOP’s for operations processes
  • Work closely with operations staff to ensure quality processes are being followed, changes are implemented correctly, and documentation is maintained
  • Maintain accurate quality documentation and audit records
  • Help develop, conduct, and manage daily audit and inspection processes including receiving inspection, in-process production inspection, and inventory quality audits
  • Analyze reported problems and assist in corrective action ideation. Drive complete and correct closure of 8D process
  • Assist in the develop, maintenance, and usage of effective operations process metrics
  • Assist in compiling and communicating supplier quality initiatives
  • Assist with implementing and controlling product and process engineering changes
  • Work towards continuous improvement of Cradlepoint processes and product quality

         Education & Experience: 

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience of at least 3 years of experience in manufacturing, quality, or operations is preferred for this position
  • Experience with implementing and maintaining a Quality Management System
  • Experience or familiarity with ISO certifications, namely ISO 9001
  • Knowledge of root cause and corrective action activities and methods
  • Solid general background in electronics manufacturing and inspection including soldering and workmanship J-STD-001 and Inspection Standard IPC-610
  • Effective in statistical analysis software such as Tableau, SigmaXL, Minitab
  • Experience working with continuous improvement and problem-solving methodologies is a plus
  • Training in Lean Six Sigma techniques preferred
